Mesa County issued the following announcement on Aug. 14.

Mesa County and contractor, United Companies, started the intersection safety improvement project on I-70B & F 1/2 Road in Clifton.

The improvements include the realignment of F 1/2 Road on the east side of I-70B to improve traffic flow to a new traffic signal. The upgrades aim to improve overall traffic operations.

Speed limits have been reduced in the work zone, near the main I-70 Clifton Exit 37. Motorists should slow down through the work zone and pay extra attention to the project crews in the area.

The project is expected to run through the end of October.
