Rep. Jeff Hurd, U.S. Congressman representing Colorado’s Third District, has recently addressed several issues affecting his constituents through a series of posts on his official Twitter account.

On March 10, 2026, Hurd expressed gratitude to federal officials for their involvement in efforts to secure the release of a constituent detained abroad. He stated, “Dennis Coyle is a constituent of mine from Colorado’s Third District. My sincere thanks to Secretary Rubio and President Trump for these efforts to secure the release of Dennis and all Americans being held in Afghanistan. My office will continue working to bring Dennis home”.

Later that day, Hurd highlighted recent legislative developments aimed at supporting families in his district. In a post dated March 10, 2026, he wrote, “Families across Colorado’s Third District work hard every day to provide for their kids. The Working Families Tax Cuts increase the Child Tax Credit to $2,200 per child and is indexed to inflation so parents can keep more of their hard-earned money. That means real help with the”.

On March 11, 2026, Hurd discussed the importance of agriculture within his district and referenced a meeting with a local farmer: “Agriculture remains the backbone of many communities across Colorado’s Third District. Last week, I met with Steve Ela of Ela Family Farms, a fourth-generation fruit grower in Hotchkiss, stopped by the office to talk about the role organic specialty crops play in our regional”.

Colorado’s Third Congressional District encompasses rural communities where agriculture plays a significant economic role and family-focused tax policies have direct impacts on residents’ daily lives. The region has seen ongoing engagement from its congressional representative regarding both international and domestic issues.
