Representative Jeff Hurd, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Colorado’s 3rd congressional district, shared several messages on social media between April 3 and April 5, 2026, addressing both religious observances and public land management.
On April 3, Rep. Hurd posted about Good Friday, stating, “On Good Friday, we remember the sacrifice at the center of the Christian faith. It is a day of reflection, humility, and gratitude. It is also a reminder of the cost of redemption and the call to serve others with faith and conviction. Wishing all Christians a blessed Good”.
Two days later on Easter Sunday, he remarked on the significance of the holiday for Christians. In his post dated April 5, Hurd wrote, “On Easter Sunday, we celebrate the Resurrection of Christ and the promise at the heart of the Christian faith. Out of sacrifice comes redemption. Out of the Cross comes new life. Wishing you and your family a blessed and joyful Easter.”
In addition to these religious messages, Rep. Hurd discussed his engagement with local officials regarding public lands in Western Colorado. On April 5 he stated: “Met with the team at the Uncompahgre BLM Field Office in Montrose, joined by Acting Colorado State Director Tom Workman, to talk through the issues shaping public lands across Western Colorado. We focused on the decisions that matter most on the ground: multiple use, access,”
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) oversees vast areas in Western states such as Colorado where multiple-use management policies balance recreation, grazing, energy development, conservation efforts and tribal interests.
Rep. Jeff Hurd has served as U.S. Representative for Colorado’s 3rd congressional district since January 2025.
