Rep. Jeff Hurd, who represents Colorado’s 3rd congressional district, shared updates on his official Twitter account between February 5 and 6, 2026. His posts covered local athletes’ participation in the Winter Olympics, a bipartisan legislative initiative, and a personal travel update.

On February 5, Rep. Hurd highlighted the achievements of three athletes from his district: “This year, #CO03 has three exceptional athletes headed to the Winter Olympics to represent our district on the world stage. Alexander Ferreira of Aspen, Charlie Mickel of Durango, and Hailey Swirbul of El Jebel are set to compete against the world’s best.

Their dedication and https://t.co/ubX4v9CJqh“.

Later that day, he announced new bipartisan legislation focused on job creation: “Introduced the bipartisan Made in America Jobs Act with my Alabama colleague, Shomari Figures, to help communities compete for jobs coming back to the United States.

For decades, federal economic development policy has focused on helping towns recover after jobs leave. This bill https://t.co/y9R2KFhKDz“. The Made in America Jobs Act is designed to assist U.S. communities in attracting employment opportunities as industries return from overseas—a shift from traditional federal policies that have historically prioritized post-job-loss recovery rather than proactive job growth.

On February 6, Rep. Hurd posted a brief message indicating he was nearing home: “Almost home. #CO03 https://t.co/ZGQ9xzzpp9”.

The announcements reflect Rep. Hurd’s engagement with both national policy initiatives and local community events within Colorado’s 3rd district.
