The countdown is on to enjoy new twists and old favorites at the 2022 County Fair

What do animal acrobats, 4-H, and dueling pianos have in common? Find out in 10 days at the 2022 Douglas County Fair & Rodeo.

Exciting new events such as an opening night concert by Country music’s Josh Turner, farm to table brunch, BBQ showdown and vintage car show join traditional favorites like the PRCA Rodeo, 4-H exhibits, two full weekends of carnival fun and the parade in downtown Castle Rock at this year’s fair. Whether you never miss the Douglas County Fair and Rodeo – or have never been, there’s something for everyone in 2022:

-Josh Turner concert, Friday, July 29. Sing along with GRAMMY-nominated artist Josh Turner as he delights with radio hits like “Your Man” and “Why Don’t We Just Dance.” Continue dancing the night away at the Stomp Your Boots after-party featuring the unique sounds of YA’BOYZ. Tickets start at $20.

-Farm to Table Brunch and Marketplace, Sunday, July 31. This premier event will feature freshly prepared Colorado-grown produce and meats, live music and farm-fresh goods for purchase. A limited number of tickets are still on sale.

-The Colorado Rib Challenge, Saturday, July 30. The Kansas City BBQ Society has sanctioned this event, which will pit 25 of the best chefs in the region against one another to see who has the smokiest, juiciest fall-off-the-bone ribs.

-Axe Woman Loggers of Maine, Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31. They are some of the best in the world at chopping, sawing, logrolling and axe throwing. They will put on a showcase of athleticism like you’ve never seen before.

-Dueling Pianos, Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31. Any requests? The Colorado Keys are known statewide for their high-energy, crowd-pleasing performances that include favorite hits for every generation.

-Vintage Car Show, Sunday, July 31. The classics are on display! Admire dozens of vintage vehicles, meet the owners and vote for your favorites.

-Wirewood Station, Friday, Aug. 5. A Colorado favorite booked across the state and country, these musicians blend Jazz, Bluegrass and Country so skillfully you’ll understand why they were voted, “Best Acoustic Band in Colorado.”

-Top Hogs, Saturday, Aug. 6 and Sunday, Aug. 7. These well-trained animal acrobats with personality entertain audiences across the country by putting on a show you, your kids and older generations will enjoy together.

Barn Dance Featuring Triple Nickel Band, Saturday, Aug. 6. Grab your partner and get ready for date night while you spin your sweetheart around the dancefloor to your Country favorites.
