Census Bureau: 81.2 percent of people in Grand Junction City were old enough to vote in 2020

Of the 62,218 citizens living in Grand Junction City in 2020, 50,500 were old enough to vote as of March 24, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 26,097 of those people were female and 24,403 were male.

An agency of the U.S. Federal Statistical System, the Census Bureau is responsible for compiling statistical facts about the American people, places and economy. Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.

Statistical data for 2021 will be released later this year.
