Adams 14 is excited to announce that at the board of education’s regular meeting on Jan. 10, 2023, board members recognized the hard work of all staff members by unanimously approving a one-time recruitment and retention incentive for the 2023-2024 school year.

Each current staff member returning for the 2023-2024 school year will receive $4,000 to be distributed over two paychecks in the fall of 2023.

“All of our current staff members, teachers, classified, support and tech, and administrators contribute to the success of our students,” stated Adams 14 Superintendent Dr. Karla Loría. “Offering a one-time retention bonus is just one way we can show every member of our staff how important they are to the district and how much we appreciate the work they do each day.  I am thankful to our board for recognizing the hard work of our employees by unanimously approving the bonus.”  Dr. Loria continued, “We value our current employees, which is why we made the retention bonus larger than the sign-on bonus this year.”

In addition to the retention bonus, Adams 14 is offering a sign-on bonus of $3,500 for each new teacher hired for the 2023-2024 school year. Both the retention bonus and the sign-on bonus will be funded through the Elementary and Secondary Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER Fund).
