U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced May 4 that Trinidad Manjarrez-Acosta was arrested during a targeted operation in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Manjarrez-Acosta, a Mexican national, entered the United States illegally in 1992 and was later granted a marriage-based green card in 2020. ICE said he was convicted of sexual exploitation of a child in Mesa County in 2022, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The arrest was also reported by KKCO, which said ICE announced Manjarrez-Acosta’s arrest in Grand Junction and identified the case as a targeted operation. KKCO reported that it had reached out to ICE for additional information, according to KKCO.
Federal data showed ICE made 240 arrests in Mesa County in 2025, with most recorded in Grand Junction, according to the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel.
ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations division identifies, arrests, detains and removes noncitizens who are removable under U.S. immigration law. The agency says ERO manages immigration enforcement operations involving individuals subject to removal, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
