81 percent of applicants to Colorado Mesa University were admitted for fall 2018

At Colorado Mesa University, 81 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Grand Junction enrolled 9,492 students in fall 2018, including 9,365 in undergraduate and 127 in graduate programs, data shows. 5.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

84 percent of undergraduates are residents of Colorado, and 15 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (67 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (20 percent).

The school admitted 81 percent of the 7,163 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 35 percent enrolled.
