Cost of college went up for all students at The Salon Professional Academy-Grand Junction

Tuition and fees rose 11 percent for 2018-19 at The Salon Professional Academy-Grand Junction, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Colorado students paid $20,140 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution this year – $2,000 more than the $18,140 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 94 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 22 students received grants or scholarships totaling $104,440 and 33 students took out student loans totaling more than $159,152.

Including all undergraduates (73), 57 students used grants or scholarships totaling $276,747, and 67 students took out $404,807 in federal student loans.
