Colorado College's Kate Brush has earned a trip to the NCAA Division III Swimming Championships for the second consecutive year. Brush qualified for the 100- and 200-yard butterfly races at the national meet next month.

Brush, who earned second-team All-America honors with a 13th-place finish in the 200 fly last year, is currently ranked eighth in the 200 fly and ninth in the 100 fly in all of Division III.

The senior from Greenwich, Ct., captured the 2023 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference title in both races as well as the 500 freestyle earlier this month in San Antonio, Texas, leading the Tigers to a second-place result. She set an SCAC open record and school record in the 200 with time of 2:02.13.

She is the first Tiger to compete at the national swimming meet in consecutive years since Olivia Dilorati in 2015 and '16.

"Kate has had an amazing season so far, and we are excited about her rankings going into the national meet," head coach Anne Goodman James said. "This is well above her starting rank last year, when she was in the 20's.  She has gone back to work with a great attitude and is managing this second taper very well."

The NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships will take place March 15-18 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C. Brush will swim the 50 freestyle on Wednesday, March 15, the 100 fly on Thursday, March 16, and the 200 fly on Friday, March 17.
