Michael Best Strategies has announced today the addition of Polly Lawrence as a Principal. She will be based in the firm’s Denver office.
Lawrence is an accomplished government relations leader with over 25 years of legislative experience. She has a strong background in commercial advocacy, negotiation, public policy, and lobbying. Lawrence often collaborates with executive teams to identify organizational goals and develop mutually beneficial relationships with government leaders to pass legislation.

Prior to joining Michael Best Strategies, Lawrence served as senior policy director for a global law firm where she participated in a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives and encouraged newer employees of the firm to get involved in government relations, proving it to be a viable career option to some who may not have considered before. In 2012, Lawrence was elected as State Representative in the Colorado House District 39 where she served 3 terms and held the position of Assistant Minority Leader.

Not only has Polly served her state as a well-respected state legislator and a candidate for state Treasurer, but she also shows her dedication to Colorado through her leadership as a small business owner and policy advocate. She continues to oversee operational efforts for a construction and infrastructure development company, managing operations for projects that will better the community and state as a whole. Lawrence has received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Colorado State University.
